Florida “Total THC Concentration” ban and the resulting economic impact. Read Below

On March 4, 2025, the Florida House of Representatives Combined Workgroup on Hemp presented data based on the implementation of the “Total THC Concentration” formula. In 2023, the Florida hemp economy was estimated at $1Billion. Within three years – enforcement actions began – first targeting hemp cultivators, and in mid to late 2024, expanding to hemp retailers and distributors.

The result the Florida Legislature expects a $1.5Billion shortfall in FY 2026-2027.
