***Aloe Vera contains many beneficial health and wellness properties for humans including anticancer agents, antiviral, and antifungal. Aloe vera plants contain many of the same healing powers as cannabis (hemp/CBD and marijuana).

However, the genus aloe and its species, e.g., aloe vera are incredibly toxic to pets, please keep the plants out of your pets’ reach. Aloe contains saponin which is a highly toxic substance for cats and dogs. Saponin is found in the greatest amount in the leaves and the aloe gel is 90 percent water and enables humans to maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract. For pets this can lead to diarrhea, vomiting, and lethargy. Love your pets keep the plants elevated on surfaces cats will not or cannot jump on.

Visit New Green Organiks at Tallahassee Farmer’s Market Saturdays 8 AM to 12 PM for aloe vera plants in hanging baskets!

Happy Springtime in Tallahassee!!
