The bill is ridiculous!!
The bill prohibits a retailer from selling hemp derived delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol products to a consumer who is under 21 years of age.
Last Session we opposed limiting hemp inhalation products to 21 years of age.
Due to Congress adopting Tobacco 21 legislation and a push from some Florida hemp lobbyists this lanaguage became law last year:
Section 581.217 Florida Statutes
(7) DISTRIBUTION AND RETAIL SALE OF HEMP EXTRACT.—
(c)Products that are intended for inhalation and contain hemp extract may not be sold in this state to a person who is under 21 years of age.
